The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook statement across the watershed.
Cold temperatures and regular snowfall has seen above average snow pack and formation of thick ice on local streams and rivers with the snow pack holding an average of 124mm of water.
With warmer temperatures and showers today the melting of snow and rain is expected to increase water levels and continue into next week.
Dangerous conditions are expected due to weakening ice and unstable snow around riverbanks.
The public is advised to stay away from all watercourses and structures such as bridges, culverts and dams.
