Businesses in Saugeen Shores, Neyaashiinigmiing, and South Bruce Peninsula were named the winners for Bruce County’s latest round of the “Spark” Mentorship and Grant Program.

The winners were determined in a Dragon’s Den style pitch contest on Nov. 16, as Amy Caperchione, Ian Shawn Nadjiwon and Wendy Chen came out on top.

Caperchione runs iSUP Saugeen in Port Elgin, which offers rentals and recreational retreats on inflatable stand up paddle boards. Nadjiwon operates Nanabush Apiaries  on the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. And Chen offers local Bruce County Tours for the Chinese community in Wiarton.

All will receive a three-month mentorship, a $3,000 “Spark” grant to support tourism development activities and access to a support network of tourism innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.
