The Town of Saugeen Shores is seeking input from residents as it is reimagining Port Elgin’s North Shore Park.

Town staff will host a Community Consultation meeting that will take place at the North Shore Pavilion on Thursday, July 7th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

The meeting will help to determine what amenities should be in place at the park such as: open spaces; a playground; a miniature train; washrooms and pavilion; North Shore Trail; or a harbour entrance.

Kara Van Myall, the Chief Administrative Officer says, “This meeting will give the public a chance to provide input into what the Park looks like and how it can best serve both residents and visitors.”

The revitalization of North Shore Park is consistent with the Town’s Waterfront Master Plan, which seeks to develop the waterfront in a desirable and sustainable way.
