While there will be no Wiarton Willie Festival this year, people can still look forward to his live prediction on February 2nd.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula have put out a link to their YouTube page where Willie’s prediction will be announced next Wednesday morning just after 8.
Mayor Janice Jackson reiterated that they would have preferred having a full event with a live audience but given the circumstances, a virtual event will have to do.
There will be one noticeable change to this year’s festival as the prediction will be made by a “tanned” Willie.
Jackson says they have a brown groundhog as they have not been able to find a white albino groundhog to replace the one that passed away last year.
