The Neyashiinigmiing Police Service have charges against two more people in connection to the desecration of elder’s remains earlier this year.

The charges are in relation to the cremation of a Chippewas of Nawash Elder.

A statement from the First Nation council did not condone the action since cremation is not the tradition or practice of their people.

A 65 year old man and 51 year old woman were both charged with indignity to a human body.

Police say the investigation is over and there are no more expected arrests but still ask anyone who has information to contact them.
