Two companies with deep roots in the Port Elgin community have brought in the runs by bringing in the funds to the Lamont Sports Park Campaign.

The owners of Port Elgin’s Tim Horton’s franchise and the owners of Nichol Insurance have each made Two-Run Home Run donations of $20,000 to the Illuminating Dreams Campaign for the park.

Tim Horton’s Franchisee Dave Falconer says he and his wife Linda are more than pleased to contribute to the Lamont Sports Park fundraising program adding that Saugeen Shores has always supported Tim Hortons and they wanted to give back to the community they live, work and play in.

Tim Nichol, CEO of Nichol Insurance echoed similar comments saying they are grateful to have the support of the places where we live and work, and with that comes the responsiibilty to give that support back.

The donations entitle both companies to banner-hanging rights at the park for 10 years; and their names will go up on the park’s Lifetime Donor Board.
