United Way Bruce Grey alongside Safe n Sound, Grey Bruce Public Health and the National Overdose Response Service will be holding a service to highlight the continued overdose crisis in Owen Sound.

Known as We Remember Them, the public is invited to walk the block around the 8th and 9th street bridges and then drop the flower into the river, symbolizing the loss of those who have died from overdoses.

The event first began in 2021 at the urging of Gelja Sheardown to mark the 1st anniversary of her husbands overdose death.

The walk will go on Saturday from 8am-12:30pm.
