United Way Bruce Grey has brought a new charitable partnership with the Negro Creek Committee in support of the Early Black Settlers of Negro Creek Memorial Park.
This landmark project is all about preserving and celebrating the history of one of Grey County’s earliest black communities.
As a charitable partner, United Way will receive and administer donations in support of the memorial park, making it easier for individuals, businesses and organizations to contribute while helping the committee achieve its vision of creating a permanent place of remembrance, education and reflection.
Executive Director of United Way Bruce Grey, Francesca Dobbyn says they believe strong communities are built by recognizing every story which has shaped them.
