The United Way Perth Huron are partnering with 2-1-1 to help those who need access to the Urgent Needs Fund.

The Urgent Needs Fund was created to help individuals who were negatively impacted by the pandemic.

UWPH Executive Director Ryan Erb says social service groups have been handling all the applications and expediting cheques from the fund.

He says bringing in the 2-1-1 service will further enhance their program.

Erb says 2-1-1 will do most of the heavy-lifting and will free up resources of social service group that would otherwise be tied up.
