Huron County OPP say some suspected treats that were found in a child’s trick-or-treat bag did not contain cannabis.
They were informed by a Howick Township resident after a small, smell-proof bag was found among the legitimate treats.
Those bags are often used to store cannabis edibles.
An investigation determined that the treats did not contain any cannabis after another resident informed police that they had distributed the bags.
OPP are reminding parents that it is always a good idea to check your child’s bag for any treats that you may find suspicious.
