The Valuing Ontario Libraries Toolkit is highlighting the importance the Huron County Library has on the community.

New findings from the toolkit show every $1 invested in the Huron County Library generates around $4.66 in Social Return on Investment or SROI.

This investment is something offered at no charge and applies a dollar value to it, impacting direct spending benefits and indirect benefits.

Beth Rumble, Huron County Librarian and Director of Cultural Services says the results demonstrate the significant impact the library has in the community and supports the library’s continued work to bring people and ideas together.

The overall benefit the Huron County Library has to the local community has totaled $17,555,981.
