Hanover Police continue to deal with an increase of fraud calls.

Police Chief Chris Knoll says recently they received a report of an investment scam with a victim losing $88,000 after the victim put the money in an electronic wallet with intentions to invest in the stock market and in cryptocurrency.

Knoll adds this money is now lost with the scammer making away with the cash.

Police continue to urge residents to always think twice about online transactions and investments and if it sounds too good to be true, it’s likely a scam.
