Violence Against Women Vigil being held at Kincardine United Church on Dec. 6th

Event from 7 to 9 pm will give attendees a chance to pay respect to the 14 women murdered at E’cole Politechnique in Montreal in 1989 as well as to the other women victimized & murdered this year by their intimate partners.

The Kincardine United Church shared word of an upcoming Come & Go Vigil at the church on Tuesday, December 6th.

The event from 7 to 9 pm is entitled “Violence Against Women: A Time for Remembrance, Awarness and Action”.

It will give attendees a chance to pay respect to the 14 women murdered at E’cole Politechnique in Montreal in 1989 as well as to the other women victimized and murdered this year by their intimate partners.

You will also be educated on issues of control, of abuse and of trying to escape.

The Kincardine United Church says the event is a safe place for women and their male allies.

No offerings. No sermons. Health protocols will be observed.
