Arran-Elderslie is celebrating 25 years of amalgamation and the call is now out for nominations for a volunteer recognition program.
25 years ago Arran Township, the Town of Chesley, Elderslie, Paisley and Tara all formed the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
The municipality recognizes the hard work and dedication of volunteers that give the community a boost in social, cultural and economic well being of residents.
Those eligible include anyone who has contributed to the betterment of Arran-Elderslie and those nominated do not have to life in Arran-Elderslie but must have a positive impact on the community.
Nominations are open until May 1st.
