The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority are issuing a water safety statement for the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds.
They say the recent rainfall is causing water levels to rise though they don’t expect any significant flooding at this time.
Residents are being reminded to stay away from waterways over the next few days.
Conservation authority staff will be closely monitoring the forecast and update conditions when warranted.
