The Wind Phone has returned and been replaced with Huron Shores Hospice.
The phone which needed to be replaced is back to allow those to use the phone on the trail off Geddes Park.
The phone acts as place for grieving individuals to feel a connection with their loved ones, allowing them to express their thoughts, regrets and love with their voice carried by the wind.
The phone idea comes from a Japanese garden designer in 2010 who set up the first Wind Phone in his garden as a means to grieve the loss of his cousin, placing an unconnected rotary phone inside an old fashioned phone booth.
There also are wind phones set up in Tiverton on the Walk of Memories and in Pioneer Park in Southampton.
