Wingham CT Scanner Fundraising Goal Increased

The Wingham & District Hospital Foundation has expanded their fundraising goal for a new CT Scanner for the hospital.

Earlier this year a goal of $2.5 million was set to fund the CT Scanner and the needed renovations which was based on preliminary estimates.

As the campaign has continued its been made clear actual costs have risen and as such, the foundation has increased their fundraising goal to $3.6 million.

Listowel-Wingham Hospital Alliance CFO Becky Bloemberg says rising costs are a reality across the province and hospitals are not exempt.

Currently the Caring Together campaign has raised 87 per cent of the now $3.6 million goal.
