Wingham and District Hospital’s Emergency Deptartment will be closed overnight tonight from 5 p.m. this evening to 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The ED also had to close overnight on Sunday due to staff shortages.
The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance says the measures are temporary ones and leadership regrets that these steps must be taken.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. EMS will remain available to the community and will re-route them to surrounding hospitals to ensure continued access to emergency services.
