It’s proven to be another big year for the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation coming off the support of the community.
The hospital foundation released its annual report with a major highlight being the new CT Scanner becoming fully operational.
Heading into 2026-27, the foundation is looking to raise $857,275 for essential equipment such as a Tilt Wheelchair, Rehab Wheelchairs, ER Defibrillators, a Blood Gas Analyzer, Oncology Vital Signs and an Oncology Nursing Station.
The top of that list is an Ultrasound being one of the most widely used and essential diagnostic tools.
The current ultrasound machine at the hospital has reached its end of life and no longer can meet the demands of the diagnostic imaging program.
