Hundreds of men will be walking a mile in women’s high-heel shoes to raise not only money but also awareness of gender-based violence.

It is all part of a fundraiser for Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey this coming weekend.

The Port Elgin event will take place this coming Sunday at the Queen’s Bar and Grill.

Community and Fund Development Coordinator Michelle Lamont says for the first time, there will also be an event in Kincardine this Saturday.

Lamont says this is their first live event in two years, and it serves as a fun way to deal with the serious issue of gender-based violence.

Those interested in participating can download a registration and pledge form from the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey website.
