We are into Women’s Abuse Awareness Month.
Throughout the month of November, Women’s House serving Bruce and Grey are promoting their Wrapped in Courage campaign.
Community and Fund Development Co-ordinator Michelle Lamont says this includes the raising of the flag to end gender-based violence.
Lamont says they have purple scarfs and masks available for purchase for people to show their support for victims of domestic violence.
She says fundraising has been tough throughout the pandemic and they haven’t been raising much money online than they would have if they had done it in-person.
