Working Smoke Alarms Helps Homeowner Escape in Sunday Blaze

A blaze in Grey Highlands Sunday morning kept fire crews busy.

Firefighters responded to the blaze in the morning at 3:50am and arrived to find a home fully involved in flames on Grey Road 13.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire with the homeowner being able to safely escape the home after being woken up by a working smoke alarm.

The fire has been deemed as not suspicious 

Grey Highlands Fire says its simple, working smoke alarms save lives.
