The Huron County Economic Development Department sent a reminder to area youth ages 15 to 29 that enrollment is now open for the 2022 Summer Company Program.
It teaches participants what it takes to manage your own business and receive up to $3,000 in start-up funds through the summer.
The criteria to be eligible include being a student aged 15 to 29 (as of April 30, 2022), starting a new business, attending and returning to school in the fall (either full or part-time, to high school or post-secondary), a resident of Ontario, Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident and not working at another job or attending school for more than 12 hours per week during the program.
The program has a minimum of 280 hours of work during the summer for high school and 420 hours if you are a post-secondary student.
