This month has marked the 15th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month in Canada and with it, United Way Bruce Grey is encouraging to get involved with the theme “Talk Money.”
The theme invites Canadians to have open and honest conversations about money to strengthen financial knowledge, skills and confidence.
United Way Bruce Grey offers a financial literacy program which helps people understand their income, expenses, debts and financial goals which in 2024 was accessed by 297 households.
Caroline Araujo Abbots, Financial Literacy Program Coordinator says people aren’t living paycheque to paycheque, they’re living bill to bill they talking to someone outside their family or social circle can be very helpful.
