A 32 year old has been charged after a case of arson and assault in Holstein.
On October 31st at around 10:38am, OPP responded to a call from Dundalk Fire Services after a suspicious arson at a housing complex on Grey Road 109.
It was said the individual was still on scene and said to be in possession of a knife.
Due to safety, emergency responders sheltered in place and the complex was placed under lockdown.
Police determined the individual, a tenant at the residence tried to get access into another apartment before setting fire to a bag causing property damage when shortly after an assault took place.
The 32 year old of Holstein was charged with Assault, Arson and two counts of Mischief Under $5000.
The accused was held for bail and released on court issued release order.
