It was another big weekend across the west region for OPP with the long weekend traffic safety campaign.
From August 1st-4th OPP were focused on the Big four which contribute to serious injuries and death, speeding, failure to wear a seat belt, distracted driving and impaired driving.
Over the West Region detachments, 1801 traffic stops were done with 625 speeding charges, 148 seat belt infractions, 10 distracted and 47 impaired driving charges.
Further 19 charges were given for Failure to Move Over for Emergency Vehicles.
