United Way Perth Huron is reeling in the support from the past holiday smile cookie campaign, going directly to the Urgent Needs Fund.

Tim Hortons locations in Blyth, Clinton and Seaforth raised a total of $16,464 from smile cookie sales with half going to United Way’s Urgent Needs Fund and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

The Urgent Needs Fund is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year through the 211 helpline providing financial support for essentials such as rent, winter clothing, car repairs, groceries and more.

Michelle Millar, United Way Manager of Community Development in Mid-Huron says thanks to the community they can help ensure vulnerable people in Huron have the chance for a brighter future.
