There is a new memorial dedicated to police officers who took their own lives.
It is located outside the Ontario Provincial Police headquarters in Orillia.
It is the first such memorial erected in Canada that is dedicated to officers killed by suicide.
In a news release, the OPP says the memorial is open to the public and serves as a reminder that the provincial police force is committed to breaking down barriers that prevent those seeking help for mental health issues.
