Bruce County announced today that 3 finalists who had made winning pitches last night for the third round of the Bruce County “Spark” Program have each been awarded a $3,000 grant and tourism mentorship to help take their tourism ideas to the next level of development.
The “Spark” Mentorship & Grants Program is a partnership between the Tourism Innovation Lab, Bruce County, Northern Bruce Peninsula, South Bruce Peninsula and the Bruce Grey Simcoe Regional Tourism Organization 7 as well as Chippewas of Nawash First Nation.
The goal of the Mentorship & Grant program is to find, foster and support new sustainable tourism ideas that enhance current offerings, create high quality, low-impact experiences, address gaps in tourism products and services, motivate longer and repeat stays and increase shoulder season visits and spending.
The 2021 Bruce County “Spark” Program winners are:
- Amanda Hutter with Green Feet ecosystem services (Dog Sledding Tours)
- Caley Patrick Doran with Take-A-Hike Trail & Adventure Guide (Guided Hikes, Indigenous & Conservation Experiences)
- Laura Lane with a Year-Round Wellness Retreat
