Amazon Prime Day expected to Draw Protests from Postal Workers and Warehouse Workers Tomorrow

#MakeAmazonPay movement focuses on Worker Treatment, the Environment and them Paying Fair Share of Taxes

With the day after the US Thanksgiving traditionally known as Black Friday it is also the day Amazon rolls out their well known Prime Day.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers and teh Warehouse Workers Centre say they are joining organizations State side to advocate for making Amazon pay on Prime Day.

The issue they say is with Amazon’s expanding global control of online shopping Amazon is changing the global economy, advancing work and work management, contributing to environmental degradation and disproportionately affecting communities.

The global movement of making Amazing Pay calls for better worker treatment, an environmentally responsible corporate footprint and for Amazon to pay their fair share of taxes globally.

Currently the rally with the 2 Canadian unions is scheduled for Brampton tomorrow.
