Bruce-Grey Catholic Board Returning Secondary Schools To 4 Course Day in February

Move in Semester Format being taken due to Vaccination Rate among 12 to 17 year olds and Current Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocols.

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board announced today that their secondary schools will return to a four-course per day schedule beginning in February.

The direction came after the Province gave the go ahead for the format in consultation with local public health units.

The change will occur on Friday, February 4th, 2022 and will mean the return to the traditional semester model.

The timing is to coincide with the beginning of the Second Semester.

The change is being take due to higher rates of vaccination among youth 12 to 17 and the current in-school covid-19 health and safety protocols.

All existing prevention strategies such as good hand hygiene, masking, daily symptom screening and directional movement in hallways will continue.
