The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority are issuing another water safety statement.

They say a low-pressure system tracking across the Great Lakes is expected to bring another strong wind event to the Lake Huron shoreline on Friday.

The northwest winds will have sustained speeds of 45 to 50 kilometres an hour and peak gust of 65 to 75 kilometres an hour.

Waves could reach up to 4 metres high and widespread erosion could occur along beaches and bluffs.

Flooding is also possible in low-lying areas.

The advisory will remain in place until Saturday morning at 8.
