The Huron Shores Hospice is holding a lecture next week hosting Rami Shami on June 4th at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
The lecture dubbed From Self-Care to Self-Compassion with Shami, a palliative care consultant.
Those who attend will get to examine the role of vulnerability and ritual in the area of compassionate care and bring awareness to ways to stay health in mind and body, prevent burn out and empathetic distress.
Shami is the community relations advisor for Lighthouse for Grieving Children and has been serving within hospice palliative care for more than three decades.
