The province is dishing out funding to support Central and South Huron. A total of $6,453,115 is being invested for local road priorities.

The funding is coming off the Connecting Links program which is designed to support vital roads and bridges to connect those to jobs and support the movement of goods.

“It is great news for Central Huron and South Huron communities. These investments will help strengthen critical transportation infrastructure that supports local businesses, improves road safety, and keeps our communities connected,” said Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron-Bruce.

Central Huron will see $3,688,006 for the reconstruction of Huron Street from Victoria Street to the western limit of the connecting link. $2,765,109 will go to South Huron for the reconstruction of Main Street South from Victoria Street to Sanders Street.
