Avon Maitland District School Board students in three schools will be getting a head start in the manufacturing industry.
Central Huron, Stratford District Secondary and St Marys District Collegiate have received $280,000 in funding for the equipment, thanks in part to the Canadian Tooling and Machining Association and the Ontario Council for Technology Education.
Machines received included plasma cutters, high precision conventional milling machines and CNC milling centres.
The machines arrived at the schools in November.
