The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is in mourning, remembering Mark Davis, the first Deputy Mayor of the municipality.
Born and raised in Elderslie, Davis started his public service as a councilor for the former Township of Elderslie and in 1999 was named Deputy Mayor of the newly amalgamated Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
Davis had many stints as Deputy Mayor including in 2010, 2014 and 2018.
Davis is remembered for his thoughtful leadership and genuine care for residents and always ready to listen and advocate for what mattered most to the people of Arran-Elderslie.
