The Town of Goderich and the Municipal & Marine Heritage Recognition Awards has honoured a local business and unveiled a new plaque to home given official heritage designation.
Sonya and Jon Jackson, owners of The Red Door were named recipients of a Heritage Recognition Certificate which is given to building owners in town who show respect to the towns heritage and follow procedures of the Heritage Conservation District.
Further, a plaque has been unveiled at 90 St. Patrick Street with the home getting official heritage designation due to its rare example of an architectural style and construction method and its design value displaying a high degree of craftsmanship and artistic merit.
