The Huron County OPP were contacted on Thursday, May 11th around 7:45 am for a report of a black bear sighting near Ridge Drive in Ashfield-Colbourne-Wawanosh, just north of Goderich.
The bear was passing through and was not aggressive.
If anyone witnesses a bear they are advised to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the BearWise reporting line at 1-866-514-2327.
Only contact 911 if the encounter with a bear is an emergency, not just a sighting.
