The Bluewater District School Board announced they will be doing a Student Census this year.

Themed “Your Voice Matters!” the survey will see junior kindergarten to grade 12 students invited to participate in the voluntary survey during the spring.

The finding the board says will help to inform important work they are doing in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusive education.

They hope to better understand the student population and school communities, identify and eliminate barriers to student success, inclusion and well being and establish effective programs and reallocate resources to where they are needed most.

BWDSB says the higher the survey completion rate the more thorough and reliable the information will be for school improvement  and program planning.
