An enumeration report on homelessness in Huron County reveals some startling numbers.
The report showed that 169 people experienced some form of homelessness in 2021, 69 more than in 2018 when the last enumeration report on homelessness was done.
Warden Glen McNeil says it brings to light how big a problem homelessness is in Huron County.
McNeil says they have been able to provide emergency shelters for those without a place to stay on a short-term basis.
But he says there needs to be a long-term solution to homelessness in Huron County.
