Bluewater School Board provides update on Schools following CUPE Strike

Board advised families that school closures may become necessary if withdrawal of services by CUPE continues beyond Monday.

The Bluewater District School Board sent an update to parents & guardians this afternoon advising them on the status of schools for next week.

The board says that in the board CUPE members include custodial & maintenance staff.

They say that area schools will remain open to students and staff on Monday, November 7th and buses will also be running.

Extra-curricular activities will continue to be cancelled.

The board advised families that school closures may become necessary if the withdrawal of services by CUPE members continues beyond Monday.

They say they will continue to advise of new developments through SchoolMessenger and on the BWDSB social media and website.
