Police recover drugs, stolen property during busts in Ripley

South Bruce OPP have arrested three people for possession for the purpose of trafficking during a pair of busts in the Village of Ripley yesterday.

Members of the community street crimes unit and emergency response team, executed two search warrants, one along Tain Street and the other along Queen Street.

During the searches, police seized Methamphetamine and Cocaine, which they estimate has a combined street value of $120,330.

Officers also seized a large quantity of stolen property. The list of recovered items includes: a Ford Windstar van, a wood splitter, pellet rifles, cell phones, and scales, valued at approximately $14,300.

As a result, police charged a 36-year-old man from Waterloo with possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. They also charged a 73-year-old-man from Huron-Kinloss with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and a 26-year-old woman from Huron-Kinloss with one count of possession.

All three will appear in Walkerton court at a later date.
