Helping honour Remembrance Day, the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is welcoming acclaimed historian and author Ted Barris next weekend.
Barris’ presentation explores the significant contributions of Canadian airmen during the Battle of Britain in the Second World War.
Marking the 85th anniversary of this campaign, Barris will highlight the bravery of Canadian flyers who defended England during the 113 days in 1940.
In a release, Barris says through documentary film footage, sound, interview clips and commentary, the presentation will give attendees a personalized sense of the Canadian pilots, politicians, engineers and ordinary citizens who stepped up and made a difference.
The presentation will run on November 8th from 1-2:30pm.
