As Bruce County has already seen a heavy amount of snowfall and winter weather, the county is reminding residents the next storm will not wait for you and you should be prepared.
Heavy snow and ice can snap power lines and leave you in the dark and the county is recommending you have an emergency kit to keep you and your family safe.
An emergency kit should include cold weather gear for indoor use, non perishable food and water and a flashlight with fresh batteries.
Ray Lux, Bruce County’s Emergency Management Coordinator says power outages can have more implications with cold weather and its important that your kits has the supplies needed to keep you safe and warm.
