Bruce Power and Ontario Power Generation are out with their 2021 nuclear collaboration report.

The report summarizes some of the things the two companies have worked on in 2021 that have allowed them to continue to provide safe, reliable, and clean electricity.

They say it includes weekly executive calls to address and mitigate concerns or risks to projects and schedules, Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Team meeting bi-weekly with the Darlington Return to Service Team to share best practices with the integration of daily operations and RTS challenges, and quarterly meetings with the CANDU/Refurbishment Forum Group to share lessons learned and other experiences.

In a news release, the refurbishment of Ontario’s nuclear fleet is key to providing carbon-free electricity for decades.

They say this is only possible through hard work from the tens of thousands of people who directly or indirectly support the industry, and through the relationships developed with partners in Indigenous communities.
