Two of the region’s energy companies are teaming up to explore projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
Bruce Power and Westario Power announced on Tuesday that they have signed a memorandum of understanding.
Some of the proposed initiatives would include incentives for people to purchase electric vehicles.
Westario President and CEO Jenny Alfandary (second from right) says this partnership was a few years in the making.
Bruce Power President and CEO Mike Rencheck (right) says both companies are striving to achieve the same goal of a carbon neutral society.
Both Alfandary and Rencheck were joined by Huron-Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan and Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson for the announcement in Walkerton.
