Bruce Power is making another commitment to local hospitals.

In 2019, the company pledged to invest $1.45 Million over a five-year period to hospital foundations in Bruce, Huron, and Grey Counties.

They recently announced that they will commit an additional $250,000 putting the total to $1.7 Million by 2023.

To date, $954,000 has been donated to 12 hospital foundations through its Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Three will receive $250,000 apiece (Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation, the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, and the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation).

$150,000 is going to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation.

And 8 others will receive $100,000 apiece (Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, Wingham & District Hospital Foundation, Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundation, Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation, Meaford Hospital Foundation, Chesley & District Health Services Foundation, Hanover & District Hospital Foundation, and the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation).

In a news release, Bruce Power says the commitment will support the efforts of the foundations to provide the latest equipment and services while recognizing the important work and services provided by local hospitals to local residents and visitors.
