Bruce Power donates $31,500 in honour of its Engineers for National Engineering Month

Money is in support of local organizations offing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or STEM programming for youth.

Bruce Power has made a donation of $31,50 to local organizations offing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or STEM programming for youth.

The donation is in honour of the engineers working on the Bruce Power site during National Engineering Month.

Gary Newman, Bruce Power’s Chief Engineer & Senior VP says that as one of the world’s largest nuclear facilities engineering plays a vital role in Bruce Powe’s continued safe operation.

The recipients of the donation include various school programs throughout Grey Bruce including:

  • Ontario Youth Apprentice Program
  • First Lego League Robotics
  • Kinetic Knights First Robotics
  • Grey Bruce Regional Skills
  • Bluewater Regional Science and Technology Fair.

In addition to these donations, Bruce Power annually provides STEM-focused elementary & secondary school awards across Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties as well as scholarships for Indigenous students.
