Chatsworth Search Warrant turns up Millions in Stolen Commercial Vehicles

One person is facing charges following a property-related investigation by the OPP Grey Bruce Community Street Crimes Unit on January 15th in Chatsworth. 

A search warrant was executed at a property on Sideroad 5 which was found to contain a number of stolen commercial motor vehicles.

Four  stolen tractor trailer trucks , 35 stolen CMV trailers as well as various stolen vehicles in various stages of disassembly.

The total value of recovered stolen property is estimated at $2.3 million dollars.

A 41-year-old of Grand Valley has been charged with 51 counts of possession of stolen property, 8 counts of altering vehicle VINs, as well as 8 counts of fraudulent concealment.

The accused was arrested and released and is set to appear in an Owen Sound court on February 27th.
