Greg Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Owen Sound on January 27th.
Between 2 and 4 pm that day a teenager was bitten by a dog, described as being or appearing to be a German Shephard.
The incident occurred on the west side of 2nd Avenue East, between 6th and 7th streets, as the teen met the owner walking the dog on a leash in a narrow, snowy sidewalk.
The owner is described as female, about 18 to 22 years of age and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
Public Health needs to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies to avoid the victim receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
If anyone has any information related ot the incident they can contact Grey Bruce Public Health.
